Updated 17th March 2021
If you are aged 50 or over, you can now book an appointment for your COVID vaccination online here:
Book or manage your coronavirus vaccination
If you cannot book online, you can call 119 free of charge, between 7 am and 11 pm.
You will be able to choose from one of the larger vaccination centres. This includes Crawley Hospital, centres in Tonbridge, Epsom Racecourse etc.
If you prefer to go to your local GP-led vaccination centre, you can wait to be called by the GP.
GP centres will also be vaccinating those in group 6 who have certain clinical conditions (see link below).
Vaccinations for those registered with GP surgeries in East Grinstead started on the 14th January 2021 and take place at Meridian Hall, East Court, East Grinstead.
Vaccinations for those registered with Ashdown Forest Medical Centre in Forest Row have been taking place at Saxonbury House surgery in Crowborough since the 16th January.
You will be contacted direct by your surgery when it is time to make your appointment. You should not to call the surgery as this will prevent phone lines being available for those with medical needs.
All other age groups should wait to be contacted as above.
Please do not visit any vaccination centre unless you have an appointment as you will be turned away.
It is likely that further vaccination sites will be added in the future. We will post any information that we receive.
You may receive an invitation by post to make an appointment at a mass vaccination site. If you are able to travel to the site you may wish to make an appointment as you may get the vaccine sooner than if you wait for a call from the surgery.
You do not have to attend a mass vaccination site. If you decide not to book an appointment at one of these sites you will still be contacted by your GP’s surgery when they have appointments available for you.
If you need help with transport to your appointment, you can contact the Forest Row Medical Transport Service
This is a volunteer service available to all residents of Ashurst Wood to help get to medical appointments. Mileage is charged at 45p a mile (this would be approximately £10 for the return journey to Crowborough) plus a small admin fee. Call 0800 112 3352, option 1 or 01342 822909.
If you have a West Sussex County Council concessionary bus pass, you can use this to travel free of charge before 9.30 am in order to get to early vaccination appointments. Normally the pass is only valid after 9.30 am. Please note this only applies to travel in West Sussex.
