Coinciding with the commemoration of 100 years from the end of World War 1, work cleaning of the memorial pillar and repairs to the sandstone dias and wall were completed this summer.

We are grateful to the War Memorials Trust for awarding a grant towards the cost of renovating and cleaning our War Memorial.

Remembrance Sunday Ceremony 11th November, 11.00 am. A service will take place at St Dunstan’s Church before the ceremony at the War Memorial.

The children from Ashurst Wood Primary School created 450 poppies made from old plastic bottles which are displayed at the War Memorial. They look amazing and are a fitting tribute for the commemorations.
