Dors Patch, at the junction of Hammerwood Road and Park Lane, has been tended for many years by two volunteers, who now wish to retire from the role. They advise that the patch is due for a facelift.
The patch will need some clearance and replanting with low growing, low maintenance plants, which will provide some colour throughout the year. Another alternative would be to create a wildflower area. The Village Council will pay for plants, compost and other materials.
Once the patch has been replanted, it will need to be maintained as required and kept neat allowing good visibility for traffic.
This role would suit one or more keen gardeners, or a business which wishes to showcase its work (in which case permission will be given to display a small sign). It will be necessary to remove and dispose of the garden waste. Please note that there is no water supply to the site (although access to nearby supplies might be possible).
