Volunteer Youth Club Helpers Needed

The Youth Club runs on Wednesday evenings between 7 and 8.30pm during term times at John Pears Pavilion. It is open to young people aged 11 to 16, school years 7-11.

The Club is looking for volunteers to assist the youth leader and assistant with setting up, clearing away and supervising the youngsters. Ideally we will have a team of several volunteers so that we can draw up a rota.

Changes to Recycling and Rubbish collection services

From mid September 2022 there will be changes to our services as Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC) will be carrying out a trial of a new 1-2-3 collection scheme, which will include a weekly food waste collection, a fortnightly blue bin (recycling) collection and a once every three weeks landfill bin collection.

The Village Council has been informed that the owner of the Industrial Estate in Ivy Dene Lane is proposing to submit an application for outline planning permission to enable him to redevelop the site for housing.
