Ashurst Wood Village Council is the local council covering the civil parish of Ashurst Wood, which lies within the district of Mid Sussex and the County of West Sussex. It was established as Ashurst Wood Parish Council in April 2000, becoming Ashurst Wood Village Council on the 1st January 2016.
The Council is made up of nine Councillors who are elected for a term of four years. The last election was in May 2019. The Council works to protect and improve the village environment and facilities for the benefit of the community.

The Council’s office is next to the Village Centre in Maypole Road. Staff are working at the office Monday to Thursday 9.00-1.00pm. The office is now open to visitors, with covid-safe procedures in place. Masks must be worn and only one person may enter the building at a time (or members of the same household). Details will be collected for track and trace purposes.
